In-Person Training Workshop
Practical, hands-on positioning strategies to support physiological labour, optimise fetal positioning, and improve birth outcomes.
Supporting women to achieve the births they hope for should not feel overwhelming or uncertain.
Yet many birth professionals find that confidence and technical skill do not always grow at the same pace as experience. Challenging labours, unexpected patterns, and complex presentations can leave even experienced practitioners feeling unsure of how best to support progress and safety.
I understand this deeply. Earlier in my career, despite training and commitment, I often felt under-prepared when births did not unfold as expected.
With nearly two decades of experience supporting over 1,200 births, I came to realise that uncertainty is not a personal failing, it is often the result of missing practical, embodied frameworks.
That realisation led to the development of Optimal Maternal Positioning.

What you will need to ensure an exceptional experience
Here's the items you will need to make the most out of this experience (wonderful to have in your birth tool kit beyond the workshop experience):
2 x pillows
1 X Rebozo
1 x knee pad/yoga mat
1 x pilates inflatable ball
2 x swim ring floats
1 x firm birth ball (min. 65cm)
1 x peanut ball; and a birth rope (Optional).Â

This is a non-refundable event. Once you have registered, if you cannot make it, you are welcome to find someone to take your place. We will do our best to try and assist you, however there are no guarantees. Please email us with the replacement name, email address, and mobile number.
**We appreciate that as a birth professional, the birthing world can sometimes cause changes unexpectedly. In those circumstances we will do what we can to ensure you can attend a future event or arrange to transfer your ticket to a colleague of your choosing.
Each ticket costs $450 AUD (the first 20 on the priority list receive discounted pricing at $395)
This includes 6 months access to the recorded OMP online self-paced birth professionals course.
As our intention is to ensure that you learn the techniques well and understand application, we want you to share the information and you can become an OMP Ambassador after this workshop (receiving the OMP Ambassador badge for your website) We do not however endorse your teaching's and simply ask that you do not brand yourself as OMP Workshops.
Should you choose to qualify as an OMP Educator where we know you have truly understood the concepts, techniques etc, this Workshop will also help you gain the first step in qualifying as an OMP Educator where we will then endorse you and teach you exactly how to host your very own OMP for Parents workshops. (This will be explained at the end of the workshop, including investment and commitment should you choose to continue on the OMP Educator journey.)

**Please note, each workshop needs a minimum of 15 participants in order to proceed.
These sessions are being taught by Ginny Phang-Davey, the founder of Optimal Maternal ™
Due to the costs associated with venue hire etc we make our best attempt to create a successful workshop for you. Our intent is to go ahead with the event as long as we achieve the minimum viable number of participants to cover the expenses of the workshop. (Approximately 15 participants depending on location)
In the event that we don't achieve the number of participants required you will have the option of a FULL refund OR you may opt to transfer to the online LIFETIME program (which is a recorded version of the live event by Ginny Phang-Davey with modules, bite sized learning and added resources) at a discounted rate.
